    Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens

Cover all the essential focal lengths with the Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens. Designed for APS-C format E-mount cameras, this lens offers a highly versatile 27-157.5mm zoom range and maintains a constant f/4 aperture for consistency across all focal lengths. This lens is ideal for both stills and video, thanks to the implementation of a power zoom mechanism and Sony’s Handycam technology, providing smooth, quiet zooming and focusing. It also uses two extra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements to reduce aberrations, resulting in crisp, clean images.

Additionally, the lens is equipped with Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation to help minimise the effects of camera shake, especially at longer focal lengths. The lens benefits from an internal focus design that keeps the overall length of the lens unchanged during focusing. It also features a minimum focus distance of 1.5 feet and utilises a seven-blade circular diaphragm for smooth bokeh.

A versatile mid-range zoom for APS-C format E-mount cameras, this 18-105mm lens provides a wide-angle to short telephoto 27-157.5mm equivalent focal length, suitable for anything from expansive landscapes to close-up portraits and distant subjects. A constant f/4 maximum aperture ensures consistent performance throughout the zoom range and offers greater control over focus for shallow depth of field techniques. Two extra-low dispersion glass elements in the lens design help to minimise chromatic aberrations and colour fringing, improving clarity and colour neutrality. Three aspherical elements, including one Advanced Aspherical (AA), are incorporated into the design to reduce astigmatism, field curvature, coma, and other monochromatic aberrations. Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation minimises the appearance of camera shake for sharper images when shooting handheld at slower shutter speeds. This stabilisation can also be combined with select cameras' sensor-shift type image stabilisation for improved control over camera blur. Enjoy smooth zooms perfect for shooting movies, thanks to the power zoom mechanism, which utilises Handycam technology from Sony’s renowned camcorders. An internal focus design contributes to fast autofocus, a minimum focus distance of 1.5 feet, and improved handling as the lens maintains its overall length. The rounded seven-blade diaphragm provides a pleasing bokeh quality when using selective focus techniques.
