The Sony A6600 is able to achieve autofocus speeds of 0.02 seconds, which is incredibly fast! These speeds are achievable thanks to the densely grouped focus points that cover about 84% of the entire frame. Not only this, the Fast Hybrid Autofocus system uses advanced phase-detection and contrast-detection autofocus to allow for fast and accurate autofocus tracking.

Real-time Tracking and Eye Autofocus

Sony has incorporated their intelligent subject tracking algorithms to provide an impressively accurate real-time tracking to this camera body. The real-time eye autofocus will detect eyes at a moment’s notice and continuous track. Depending on the conditions that you find yourself in whilst shooting, you’ll see the focus area can automatically switch between your subject’s eyes and face. Equally, you can take full control and opt for a left or right eye tracking that will even work in unique conditions, for example, where a subject is partially covered or if the subject backlit by a bright light source.
