The combination of f/4 maximum aperture, 300mm focal length, and impressive VR technology allows strong low-light performance and beautiful bokeh. Enhancing performance further is an electromagnetic diaphragm that provides enhanced stability in auto exposure for consistent, more precise exposures, especially when shooting at high frame rates. 3 focus modes are employed: A/M (prioritises autofocus even when the focus ring is in use), M/A (allows instant switching from autofocus to manual operation in AF mode), and M (manual).

SPORT mode
Nikon’s renowned Vibration Reduction (VR) technology enables impressive shooting speeds of up to 4.5 stops slower*, and the all-new SPORT VR mode makes it possible to pan fast-moving subjects with incredible clarity. In addition, Nikon’s ED glass ensures sharpness, an aspherical lens element controls unwanted distortion, and Nikon’s anti-reflective Nano Crystal Coat minimises ghosting and flare.
